The famous King's Casino Rozvadov is one of the premier poker locations in Europe. Not only that, but it is also the home to what is officially the largest poker room on the continent. Here we take a look at this amazing venue and see what it has to offer.
The Czech Republic has long been a popular destination for city breaks, party weekends and bachelor parties, but thanks to the King's Casino it now also has a reputation for being a hub for European poker.
The King's Casino Rozvadoz's 'Poker Arena' is a 90-minute drive from Prague and you can arrive there in comfort thanks to the shuttle service that is available from Prague's airport. It is a special casino complex that is dedicated to the game of poker — and it certainly shows. Walk into the striking card room and you will be greeted by the familiar, hypnotic sound of chips riffling; a sound you will hear 24/7 in the vast card room.
The extensive tournament schedule boasts at least one tournament every day with buy-ins starting as low as €30 and increasing up to an astonishing €25,000, showing that the King's Casino has something to offer for absolutely every poker player.
If you prefer cash games to tournaments, you will not be left wanting at the King's Casino Rozvandov; not by any stretch of the imagination. Cash games run around the clock with a variety of games being spread and blinds starting at just €1/€1 and going as high as requested from the players! As an added bonus all players sat at €5/€10 games or higher are given a completely free à la carte service from the exclusive restaurant.
The King's Casino is also the home to the King's Deepstack Series, the latest installment of which kicks off on Thursday, May 24 and runs through to Wednesday, May 30. During the week long festival there will be no fewer than eight excellently run tournaments that boast €150,000 in guaranteed prize pools including the €500 Main Event that carries a €100,000 guarantee on its own!

The Main Event has one of the best structures in tournament poker despite its low buy-in. Players start with a massive stack of 50,000 chips and play to a blind structure that starts as low as 50/100! Day 1 is played to a 45-minute clock but subsequent days have this increased to 60-minutes which lends itself to the more skilful players as effective stacks are deeper for longer.
Along with its own selection of cash games, daily tournaments and the superb King's Deepstack Series, the King's Casino Rozvandov is also the home of the popular German Championship of Poker (GCOP). This championship attracts some of the best German and Czech players in their droves, including Team PokerStars Pros Martin Staszko and reigning World Series of Poker main Event champion Pius Heinz, but also players from all corners of the world.
The opening Main Event if GCOP II (March 2012) attracted 196 players and they were outlasted by Germany's Jeno Halmai who walked away with €49,000 from his €1,100 entry fee. GCOP II Vol 2/6 took place in May 2012 and saw 189 players turn out for the €1,600 Main Event which was chopped heads up by Marek Blasko and Zohar Spivack who took home €62,100 and €63,600 respectively.
The next GCOP festival runs between Wednesday, July 4 and Monday, July 9 with the highlight being the €1,100 buy-in Main Event, which boasts a €200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
